Portfolio Preparation Scholarship
The Yard School of Art Portfolio Preparation Scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors who are planning to pursue a post-secondary education in the visual arts, (art education, fine arts, architecture, graphic design, illustration, animation, photography, etc.)
Scholarships are awarded annually in the fall. Scholarship students are enrolled in one class in the winter semester, and one in the spring. Subjects covered include both Portfolio Preparation and Life Drawing. These classes will provide students with portfolio mentoring, college-level instruction in figure drawing that is not available in most high school art programs, and the experience of making art for their portfolios in each class.
The scholarship covers all tuition, as well as supply costs, and will provide the student with individualized attention and time to develop their portfolio.
The scholarship is awarded based on both merit and need. We encourage students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
