As of Wednesday, July 21, MAM's Weston gallery will be closed for deinstallation of Out of the Vault: 95 Years of Collecting at MAM and the installation of Living for Art: Works from the Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection.

As of Wednesday, July 28, MAM's McMullen gallery will be closed for deinstallation of A Force for Change: African American Art and the Julius Rosenwald Fund.

Between July 21 and September 19 there will be free admission to the galleries and shows that remain open:

  • Engaging with Nature: American and Native American Artists (A.D. 1200–2004)
  • George Inness Gallery
  • Rand Gallery of Native American Art
  • Myths, Memories, and Inspirations: A Mural by Dan Fenelon

Admission  $12 nonmember adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and students with I.D. Credit cards accepted. MAM admission is free for Members and children under 12. Museum galleries are free for everyone the First Friday of every month.

Photography  Photography of any kind is prohibited in the Museum galleries. Click here for information on Rights & Reproductions.

Visitors with Limited Mobility    All entrances and public areas at MAM (galleries, Leir Hall, Yard School of Art classrooms, the Museum Store, and LeBrun Library) are fully wheelchair accessible. The front  doors at the South Mountain Avenue entrance are automated for wheelchair access. A main elevator services all three floors of the Museum. Please call in advance for special assistance (973) 746-5555.

Group tours may be arranged in advance by calling (973) 259-5136, or by e-mailing tours@montclairartmuseum.org. Group tours are available during regular Museum hours, as well as on Tuesdays and before noon on regular museum days.

Parking  Free public parking is available in the Museum's ample parking lot.

Art on View  If you are planning a special visit to see a particular piece of artwork at MAM, please call ahead to confirm the object is on display in our galleries. Works are sometimes on loan for exhibitions at other museums, or may have been taken down temporarily for conservation and gallery rotations.
